Deltas, typically at the mouth of rivers and streams, are made by small rocks and minerals flowing down the river, accumulating in the same spot.

Deltas form at the mouth of any flowing water heading to a larger body of water (for example, rover into ocean), as a result of small chunks of earth accumulating in one spot. They are most often a triangular shaped piece of land, ranging any where from 346km across (Ganges Delta), to as small as 100 metres across.
